Mmmmmm…technically speaking i’ve been drawing since i could hold a pen in my hands LOL I still have my drawings from when I was 5 years old, if you can imagine LOL 8’D

But I didn’t really FOCUS on my drawings until maybe Grade 6? I mean, I drew all the time because it was fun, and I loved it and never thought much about it—it was a natural act for me to just pick up a pen and draw whatever the hell I wanted—but I started actually *trying* to improve because I was crazy inspired by a classmate’s drawing ability 8DDD We were in a mixed grade 6 and 7 class, and a good handful of the older kids were artistically amazing at so many things. Every day at recess I’d just go over and ask to go through their sketchbooks and drawings, and think “I want to learn how draw stuff like this.” That’s pretty much when I started to draw about 10 times as much as i did before, drawing basically everything and anything at any time when I had a pen in my hand— actually started drawing anime ‘cause the fan arts that my classmate had done were so damned pretty. Up til then, I merely watched anime passively, but after seeing her stuff, I actually started *studying* my anime recordings, like pausing at certain moments to analyze and draw what I saw on the screen. I remember pausing during an Escaflowne recording to draw Millerna’s face. Bare in mind, at this time, all i knew how to use the internet for was Neopets 8’D so I had to make do with what I had: TV recordings and the pause button XD But yeah. her amazing artwork blew my mind and I just started drawing characters like no tomorrow in hopes of one day reaching the level of skill she had.
