Howdyhayyy my darlings! I’m uploading some new pages of my Reno/Axel centric doujinshi, Savior, to my DA c: I’ll try to make it a weekly update or something 8’D I know it’s been a long time, but this stupidly huge labor of love of mine is still truckin’ through :’)
I needed more drawings of his stupid face on my blog thanks.
So here it is! Chapter 2! I really have to send a whole bunch of love Nijuukoo’s way. <3 She was such a darling and beta read this chapter for me, and she is a really good beta as well, giving good pointers and highlighting things that needs fixing. Best beta I’ve had! X3 So now this chapter should be about 40 % more awesome! XD ENJOY!

Working overtime
he’d wield a huge warhammer (loool i drew him with the same weapon if he were an Assassin too XD), which could extend at the head with a long chain so it’d become like a mace ball for longer range combat.
uuuuh since lightning wouldn’t be available Reno’s element would be…gravity—just crushing the living daylights out of everything 8D. He’ll have Pyramid to cast too, to buy himself some time to charge for a big attack (or maybe whip out a bottle of ale and heal himself like a douchebag boss lololol). Toying on the idea of him preferring to fight close range with his weapon, so when Sora or whoever runs away from him for too long, or stands too far away from him, Reno wouldn’t bother chasing him down—he’d pull Sora in instead with some massive spell. See? ~*~gravity~*~ it’s also a nod to axel’s “C’mere!” heee 8D~
So here it is! The first (and perhaps only) chapter of my very first AkuNo fic! It’s dedicated to the lovely nijuukoo! Because she’s totally AWESOME and one of her pieces inspired me to write this. I do have a bunch of ideas for chapters, and I will work on them when I have time. But for now, here is the first chapter. Enjoy~
Chapter 1: The beginning of the end.
Older!Axel and Reno, in which both guys get fed up with their long hair and decide to chop most of it off, and Reno decides he wants to go for the stubble look. Axel doesn’t mind, he finds out he quite likes the coarseness against his skin whenever Reno kisses his neck ;D
I think someone some time ago asked me how i’d picture an older Axel and Reno, i think he/she said in their late 30s or 40s or something. I can’t find the message anymore so whoever it was who asked me, this is dedicated to you lol XD

Axel loathes rainy weather and everything associated with it: The coldness that comes with it, the terrible, musty smell of wet concrete, the mud that stains his shoes, the dripping umbrella after a long walk, the heaviness of the water that ruins his hair, and the way it makes his clothes cling to his shivering skin.
Indeed, Axel hates everything about it, and hates how Reno loves it. Reno makes him walk in the rain, because it’s “fun,” because it’s “natural,” because it’s “refreshing.” Axel reminds him again how he hates the weather, and how he wishes he had his umbrella with him to club Reno over the head with.
Reno scoffs, and says he hasn’t experienced everything about it to cement his abhorrence of it. Not yet, at least.
Axel goes through his mental checklist of things he despises, and is about to add Reno to it until his partner wraps his arms around his waist to tug him close, and kisses him right there, in the middle of the sidewalk on the busiest street in town.Oh.
They kiss slow, unhurried and without care while the world around them continues at its frantic pace. Sounds of car tires peeling across drenched streets and the grumblings of impatient commuters piling onto a sodden tram—two additional things Axel hates about wet weather—go unnoticed for the first time. So torrid are Reno’s lips they warm him all the way to the tips of his fingers. And for a moment, Axel swears he feels his mind leave his body and fly high into the silver clouds.
As Reno pulls away, Axel finds himself following through, as if he hasn’t quite taken his full. Reno just grins, his face bright with rivulets cascading down his cheeks from his damp hair.
So Axel says not a word, and merely goes through his checklist once more. Certainly, he still hates the way he’s now soaked to the bone, still hates the nippy air, still hates how his hair now clung to his face and neck. Yes, he certainly still hates everything about rain

It’s been a grueling two hours in the library, and neither Reno and Axel are close to being finished with their readings. Reno arches back in his chair, stretching his arms out behind him and sighing as he relaxes. He still has several more pages to read through, and he isn’t sure how far Axel is on his own assignment. He purses his lips, mentally exhausted. The song he and Axel had been listening to grows quiet as it ends, and the sounds of other students talking softly and laptop keys clicking throughout the library fills the void. Reno doesn’t even remember the last few songs that played, what with his mind more tuned in to the words in his notebook. After so long, everything had began to filter through his mind.
A new song begins to play on Axel’s audio device, and Reno’s brows furrow slightly. His hand pauses mid-sentence, no longer focusing on his notes but rather the words and rhythm of the song playing from the bud sitting in his right ear.
Reno’s listened to Axel’s playlist plenty of times before, so much that he’s memorised every song that’s on it. But this one is a recent addition, and the recognition of it makes Reno smile coquettishly. He knows Axel’s particular finickiness when it came to putting songs on a playlist. If he put it in, the song had to have some form of impact on him, or it had some memorable value to it. And Reno is sure that even he knows what the significance of this song was to Axel—to both of them.
He peers over at his companion, who continues on reading undeterred. Reno leans in, nudging Axel’s arm to get his attention.
“Interesting new song you put in,” Reno whispers.
Axel opens his mouth to say something, but all he could make out was, “oh, um.” He fidgets, turning his face away from his classmate to lean on his hand instead. Try as he might, he can’t conceal the coy smile spreading over his face. He bites on his pencil, doing anything to keep himself from getting distracted.
Reno persists with a comical grin, his suspicions confirmed. He shuffles closer and murmurs, “isn’t this the song that was playing when we—”
With a heave of his shoulders Axel pushes Reno away from him, face now an embarrassed red and mouth pulled back in a grin as goofy as the one Reno is sporting. He tries not to laugh, something he tended to do when flustered. “Shut up, Reno.”
The curt response makes Reno snicker, and he shifts to take Axel’s hand from his face. Pulling it to his mouth, he places a kiss on the back of his hand.
“Certainly a good source of motivation to study quicker and get out of here earlier…and maybe add a few more songs to that play list, isn’t it?” Reno says.
Axel rolls his eyes, tugging his hand back and shaking his head with a laugh. “I somehow think you are gonna have a hard time concentrating on your work now, Reno,” he teases, “and I’m gonna end up leaving first, and you’re just going to have to finish up on your own.”](http://25.media.tumblr.com/6abd242671af427232f5a132f03259f0/tumblr_mghzhluA3l1qm6dm2o1_r1_500.jpg)

I think Reno’d be around Roxas’ age or just a bit older. He’d be part of another Twilight Town gang opposite to Seifer’s, with Rufus, Rude, Elena, and Tseng, He’d be a competitor in the Struggle tournament, and the resident gossip keeping tabs on both Roxas and Seifer’s group, selling them the dirt on each other. And juuuust because of reasons, he’d have his eye on Roxas ;D
